Adoption Rules

Adoptions - Guideline and Conditions

Adoption is a way of helping the foundation’s animals in which a private person or a company (or school) covers the cost of a horse’s living in the foundation. The donation can cover the expenses in part or in full.

For businesses, adoptions are a great tool for public image creation, a kind of charitable marketing, since the companies are free to publicize the information on the adoptions they’re involved in.
For schools, adoptions are a way of integrating classmates through taking care of the horse, an interesting alternative for school trips, and some firm ground for instilling compassion and positive behavior to animals in children.

For private persons, adoption is a way to help animals when they are unable to do so by themselves. Visiting the adopted animal can relieve the tension related to the stressful quality of contemporary life-style. In case of the horse, an animal that is more expensive to feed,  the foundation has enabled shared adoption, which means participating in the costs. It is possible to form a group of people that will support the horse together. It is a great way to tighten the friendship bonds by sharing the joy that comes from helping together and by paying their pet visits together.

Tara Foundation feels obliged to remember about all the virtual caretakers, sending them photos and information about their pet’s current situation.

Adoption :

1. The first step is to choose the foster animal. This can be done directly by coming to the shelter or by choosing the animal from the Adoptions Section
2. The second step is to inform the foundation that one is willing to adopt an animal by an email declaration that includes the pet’s name, the caretaker’s (the adopting party’s) personal information and payment confirmation.
3. The cost of adoption depends on the kind of pet:
a. a Horse - the full cost is 300 PLN per month, the shared cost is 50 PLN, in this case a few people can form a group to split the cost
b. a Dog - the cost is 50 PLN
c. a Cat - the cost is 30 PLN
d. other animal - the cost is estimated individually

1. After receiving the adopting party’s permission, the foundation publishes information related to the adopting party (such as a link, logo, a short description of the institution or school; or in case of a private donor - their name and place of residence) on the foundation’s website in the “adopted” section. Moreover, if the adopting party has agreed, in case of visits or special events organized by the adopting party the foundation will place a  photo coverage along with a short description of the events in question in the same section of the website.
2. The foundation shall provide the adopting party with photographs of the adopted pet, along with a short description that may include the pet’s health condition or some interesting events in which it was involved.
3. The foundation provides accommodation free of charge for the adopting party in case they are intending to stay at the foundation for longer than one day (the foundation must be informed in advance about such intention)
4. The adopting party can visit their pet at any time, spend time with it, carry out tasks related to its nurturing and cleaning, and participate in its feeding.
5. The foundation guarantees the adopted animal resides within the foundation’s premises at all time throughout the whole adoption period

All animals looking for a caretaker can be found in For Adoption section
